|Wanting to go off T for fertility reasons
||[May. 15th, 2015|10:12 pm]
Hi all, as the title states- I am seeking to go off Testosterone, which I have been on for 6.5 years now. I am on Nebido injections which is a slow releasing form of Testosterone, I have one shot every 12 weeks.|
My reasons are solely fertility based and I wish to embark on carrying a child if I can.
Can anyone share their experiences of how they went off T after a while? I am toying with going off it cold turkey, but I'm not sure.

i found your post while looking for similar answers to the questions you've asked. I'm curious, how have things worked out for you if you don't mind me asking? i'm particularly concerned with whether my periods will return any time soon as i really want to conceive, this year if possible. I've been on T for 5 years, nebido injections every 3 months. It's been 15 weeks since my last injection. your post is the closest i can find to my situation so i'd love to hear how things have been for you. Hope you are well and happy.
Life took a very different turn for me and I resumed with Testosterone, I was really struggling being off it, emotionally, physically and as a single parent I felt I wouldn't cope very well. I have since moved to Scotland and have a rescue cat, it's something.
Sorry I cannot be of much help to your journey/situation now. Have you a partner? I advise seeking an endo for advice or even an understanding gp willing to monitor and respect your wish to conceive, that medical support, and vision of what you wish to do must help. Hope you're okay.
